How far in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking 2–3 weeks in advance for lifestyle or portrait sessions, and 3–6 months for weddings or maternity. Newborn sessions are best scheduled while you’re still expecting — ideally around your second trimester — so we can reserve time around your due date.
When should I schedule my maternity and newborn sessions?
Maternity sessions are best between 30–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable.
Newborn sessions are best within the first 10–14 days after birth, when babies are still sleepy and curled — but don’t worry, I always adjust around your family’s needs and timing.
Do you travel for sessions or weddings?
Yes! I love exploring new locations. Travel within 25 miles of my base location is included. For destinations beyond that, a small mileage or travel fee may apply — just ask, and I’ll include it in your quote.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You don’t have to — but I always recommend it!
Big-box labs often print darker, oversaturated images that don’t reflect the true beauty of your photos. When you order directly through your gallery, your prints are made by a professional lab using archival paper and calibrated color — ensuring every image looks exactly as intended.
You’ve invested your time and heart into this session — your memories deserve to be printed with the same care.
How long does it take to receive my photos?
Gallery delivery typically takes 2–3 weeks for sessions and 4–6 weeks for weddings. I hand-edit each image to ensure the quality, tone, and magic you see in my portfolio.
How are images delivered?
You’ll receive your fully edited images in a private online gallery, where you can download, share, and order professional prints and keepsakes directly.
Weddings and premium sessions also include a USB keepsake box with your full gallery.
Do I get all the images from my session?
Each collection includes a set number of high-resolution digital images. Additional images are always available for purchase through your gallery if you fall in love with more (and most clients do!).
What’s required to book?
A 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed agreement are required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due before your session or event. Payment plans are available for weddings/events upon request.
Can I bring my partner, kids, or pets?
Absolutely! My sessions are meant to feel natural and personal. I encourage you to bring loved ones (and furry friends!) who help you feel comfortable and make your photos more meaningful.
Do you offer prints and albums?
Yes — all products are printed through professional labs to ensure color accuracy and archival quality. You can order directly from your online gallery, or we can design a custom album or wall art together.
What happens if it rains?
For outdoor sessions, I’ll keep an eye on the weather leading up to your date. If the forecast calls for heavy rain, we’ll reschedule at no cost, or move to a cozy indoor or in-home location.
Do you offer mini sessions or seasonal events?
Yes! I offer seasonal mini sessions a few times a year — perfect for quick updates, holidays, or themed setups. Follow me on Instagram or sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know when they open.
What if my child doesn’t cooperate?
No worries at all — I have endless patience (and a few tricks up my sleeve). My approach is relaxed and playful, allowing genuine smiles and interactions to shine through. I’ll guide when needed, but mostly, we’ll have fun!
